Your Friends/Families opinion of the beastie boys live

Just Curious, what do your friends/family think of the beastie boys?

This includes:

1) Making them listen to them.
2) Talking them into going to a show with you.

All but one person I know personally has thought they were below average live. This is post Hello Nasty, I mean. Descriptors? "Weird" "Bored" "Sloppy" "Quiet", but that's pretty much the worst of it.

Heard nothing but good things from 1995 back.

my sister and i watched the rockpalast 98 concert on tv about billion times (not that it really counts)

theres no one else in the family who cares about them or even likes hip hop

My wife saw them at the Tibetan Freedom thing in DC. She said they weren't good at all.

We both saw them at the Field Day thing, they were definitely off.

But all of the other times I've seen them without my wife, they have put on a great show. I told her that she wasn't allowed to go to any beastie shows that I go to.

i can only judge by my video tape material but it seemed like the tibetan concert 97 was rad as hell while in 98 it was kinda sleepy, it looked like they aged 10 years in that one year or it just sucked cause the weather sucked

I took my mom to the 04 show and she didnt like it. She said it wasnt for her, and refused to go to the 07 show. I took my cousin to the 07 show and she was into them from her youth, but not IN TO THEM, ya know? After the concert she said she's going with me every time they come, and she had me burn all of thier cd's for her the next day. (y)

My friends have never seen them live, but I do have two friends outside of this board who like them, just not as much as me.
