The "Terror War " is really getting big. Especially considering we've been fighting this "War on Terror (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_Terrorism)" since September 18, 2001. Just as in the other major war (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_war) we're fighting due to Alleged weapons of mass destruction, the "Terror War" also keeps getting larger and more insane.
Here, compiled from the USA Today is a look at the evergrowing "Terror Watch List (http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-10-23-Watchlist_N.htm?csp=34)" it has quadrupled over the past 3 year period.
Here is the Homeland Security Terror Watch Screen Listing (http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d08194t.pdf)(with recommendations on how to expand the list and enhance the program) report to Congress. This list is fresh off the presses from October 24, 2007.
I do not expect this information gathering to end anytime soon. I know we are all subject to some form of identification, but the war on terror list takes things to another level. It now has 3/4 of a million suspected terrorists on it's list. 750,000.
Do you think we'll win the "War on Terror"?
Do you think we're fighting the "War on Terror" the correct way?
Is there even a need for the "War on Terror"?
I'm just astounded by these numbers and haven't quite yet come to a full conclusion on exactly where Homeland Security plans on stopping this information gathering.
Anybody else here have an opinion on these ever growing statistics?
