my friend showed me the prerelease demo of this. holy shit it looks good. I don't think there are graphics cards out there that can run this thing at full.

Yes there is. Unfortunately they are sitting in the developers computers. But apparently GeForce 8800 GT is the best bet at the moment.

i think it's time to get a new video card. im thinking either the new 8800GT(sits performance-wise between the 8800GTS 640MB and the 8800GTX 756MB) for around $200-$250 or wait till winter for the next generation.
Yeah, I'll wait until winter to upgrade my video card. I want the latest. Crysis looks awesome.

if you still have the same computer you're gonna need basically EVERYTHING upgraded.
I have a new computer. I have about 1GB RAM, and a pretty good sound card, I think. Besides that, the only other essential component to upgrade is the video card.

and onther gig of ram and a dual core processor if you don't have one perferably a core 2 duo
Yeah, I have a Core 2 Duo, and yeah another gig of RAM would be nice. I think all I need is the video card upgrade. I noticed when I tried out to play the Jericho demo, it ran very choppy.

you'll need atleast 2 gigs
and if you want the directX 10 features(better visuals) you'll need vista. and if you get vista you'll need atleast 4 gigs of ram.
Christ, 4 gigs? I do run Vista. I love that part in the Crysis preview video that plays at work, when you're shooting at this large alien ship that is walking on these robotic tentacles, and you're in this frozen environment. It reminded me of the recent movie of War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise.

well the 32 bit edition of vista only needs 2gigs. the 64 bit needs 4gigs. i would advise using the 64 bit edition. if you bought like a dell or something i think you're stuck with which ever edition it came preinstalled with.
Yeah, I have a Dell desktop. I just checked, it's 32 bit.
