I searched the forums and didn't see this posted - it was a quick search so i apologize if this has been posted it's been awhile since i was posting here.

was just listening to Y Society's album Travel At Your Own Pace which is the best hip hop album I've heard in a lonnng time. anyways track 6 "Good Communication" has this breakdown in the middle and all of a sudden I hear "maaaaa bell i got the ill communication, maaa bell".. just thought it was dope to hear a nice use of some beastie boys samples, haven't heard them in samples for a bit but they just popped up on the new jay-z album as well.

anyways peep the album if you know anything about insight you know what to expect - tons of samples heavy tracks really funky, pete rock-esque...

indeeeed! this Y SOCIETY record is a must for all you gorgeous hip hoppers and unconditional show stoppers.
insight is the mc, and damu is on the production. the track "hole in your pocket" is a momentous occasion for your pretty ears.

insight, of course, for years lived in boston, which is no longer the case.
if any of you ever got the chance to see INSIGHT and EDAN performing together live, THAT TERRIBLE TWOSOME WAS A HOOT, HUH?
i'm sorry, i got to get back to my coffee, but that insight got some really nice verbs and adverbs. yo, cop it! (that's street for "purchase it")

Only the Fudgemunk is from DC and I think he still currently lives there.
Insight is holding it down in Boston i think. (I guess not anymore after re-reading lee's post)

But yeah, its funny that I saw this thread because I literally was just about to buy the album.
