yes sir they do.....particularily peas....and I'm not big on canned veggies either....maybe corn and tomatoes but....yeah.....freshness is next to godliness....flavor untainted.....this is why I couldn't go work at a arctic research station or be a nuclear submariner,no fresh produce....otherwise I'm sure I'd be mushing my way across the tundra or patrolling deep under the ice caps.....

I'd have to disagree with you there Moot! Frozen peas are excellent and maintain their goodness and freshness because they are frozen as soon as they are picked.

At least that's what the advert says :/

I find frozen veg (in particular those bags that you can steam in the microwave) are so handy as a 'busy working mum'.

I agree about tinned vegetables though. Nasty. Apart from sweetcorn. And tinned processed peas are the devil's food.

I love me some frozen peas. Cooked right, most frozen stuff turns out well. It does have to be frozen properly though.

That's crazy talk,man...but you can have the couple of dozen I picked out of my lunch....frozen vegetables should only be used as a first aid measure to control swelling after suffering blunt trauma and/or impact....;)

O.K Rose....but I also know that your people have a affinity for mushing them up and using them to accompany everything you eat....:D

Mint sauce,eh?...not brown sauce?.....just as long as it’s not that mint chutney you do……I must say beans with breakfast is an interesting innovation….;)

Frozen veggies are awesome. Especially when you can only make it to the grocery store once every 10-14 days. Fresh vegetables only last for so long in the refrigerator.

frozen broccoli never comes out the same in stirfries BUT I buy it and then chop it up into little bits and then freeze it in portions so I can easily make a cheesy cream of broccoli soup whenever I f'in want.

I use frozen fruit almost everyday of my life, I loveses em.

my mom was not a fan of being a housewife. so instead of canning her tomatoes each summer, she would just cook the shits out of them and then freeze them in single portions

Yeah my Mom did it all single handidly....so frozen vegetables were a daily torture we had to endure till our mid-teens....especially those carrot/pea/bean and corn medley's.....I had to swallow em like vitamins with milk....what a way to turn a kid off veggies....

frozen is actually a really great option, if you think about it the fruit/veggies are always picked at the peak or ripeness and packaged so they're always just right, and virtually no nutrients are lost. you're guaranteed good product, whereas if it's not in season it can be rough to get a good buy at a farmer's market or grocery store. plus it's usually pretty affordable. dietitians usually suggest frozen produce to lower-income families because they have all these great attributes.
