I hate these fucking things. Noisy as hell, blowing all that dust into the air, workers not watching for pedestrians, so I'm riding my bike with
my eyes shut so I don't get grit in my eyes...

And all they do is push the leaves onto someone else's property so now it's their problem. I don't think I've ever seen these workers
raking and bagging leaves; just blowing them around.

Fucking hell.

Yeah, good morning. Fuck.

Some communities have tried to make them illegal. I wonder if any have succeeded.

One of the most irritating maintenance devices ever invented. Just fucking evil.

leaves sort themselves out. They just get carried by the wind into hedgerows or leaf heaven.

Really, how many fatal accidents are caused by leaves?

you're more likely to die from choking on a cabbage leaf than you are from popping an e (y)

Plus they sound nice a crackley underfoot. That's part of the ambience of autumn, man -- no need to fuck with that.

yeah they are kind of annoying. now i'll be very annoyed when i see one, just for you.

leaves just mulch down naturally and give the earth lots of new nutrients... apparently. although it's not good to leave them on the grass... apparently.

they are perhaps not quite as annoying as the helicopter that's been circling above my neighbourhood for a good 3 hours now, looking for some drug lord or terrorist :|
i had to come in from autumnal leaf maintenance in the garden :(

Yeah; grass needs the sun, so you don't want to just leave a carpet of leaves. But the occasional mulch is a great idea.

I wish I could wave off the helicopter so you could get back to your garden, venus.

I think a few municipality's have moved to ban them....they emit wicked levels of co2...so you get your noise and air pollution simultaneously....(n)

Turd, does it hurt?

-- being wrong so often, I mean. Seems like it would hurt.

lets see... rake the yard for a hour and a half or blow some leaves into a pile and throw it into a lawn bag which only takes 15 minutes.

which one is easier?

I'll take the rake anyday....good exercise in the crisp clean fall air...you can get into a zen like thing....plus by dragging the rake across your grass you get's some airation action....lazy people are lame....

How'd that happen?

A pile of wet leaves on a bend, my friend took it a bit too fast, we spun around. Got scared. Then laughed it off a few minutes later.

Exactly. Plus you aren't contributing air and noise pollution to the world.

if you don't have too many on the ground, and you run over them with your mower it helps. the grass gets what it needs, and the leaves are chopped enough so that once the winter snows melt away, most of the leaves are composted away already

Gotcha.

Yeah, but, I mean... if you're driving sensibly, wet leaves are no big deal.

Only time I ever did a serious spin was in a car, on ice. I was 15, stole my brother's car, and my two friends and I were drunk and high. Almost
went right into the snowy ditch.

Talk about putting the fear of God into you. :D I was immediately sober.
