making bagels is a bit tough when you dont have a wood fire oven Id think.
either way, too much effort for me. Ill just keep buying ems at the local bakery.

I think Heiress is right ya need a big mofo wood burnin oven and that ginourmous cauldron to boil the dough in before ya bake it.....but this weekend I had a asiago cheese bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese and a big kosher dill pickle,with a caesar with a pickled asparagus in it....and it was nearly a religous experience....(y)

my mom used to tell me about when she was a kid and the only place to get bagels were in new york
so anytime anyone went there for a trip, they would bring back bagels with them to give to everyone
