I think the trailor looks great and as long as they don't piss around the origin part too much it should be interesting.

I find it's lack of M.O.D.O.K. disturbing, but I'm sure Downey can play a pretty convincing drunk, so I vote (y).

Part of the trailer looks all right, but something else about it just doesn't seem to work. And thumping us over the head with heavy metal --
and, particularly, that song -- makes it look pandering and dull-witted. The stabilizer joke is stupid, too.

Casting Downey was a minor stroke of genius, but, let's face it -- Favreau hasn't made a really good film yet. I'm not sure that he has very
good taste. It'll probably be a little better than Daredevil; that's about it.

Favreau seems a little overrated, what has he done? Zathura? That was a big bomb. Elf wasn't funny in my opinion. Who knows, maybe this will be his big breakout...I doubt it will break any records.

Still, I'm intrigued.

Yeah, that's probably the best thing he's been involved with so far.

The answering machine messages scene is hilariously painful.

He directed at least one episode of Undeclared, too.

DC is in a world of its own, literally and metaphorically. I can't believe someone managed to fuck Batman (and Catwoman) up so bad it had to go on an eight year hiatus to recover. He's BATMAN. Jesus, what was George Clooney thinking. What was ANYONE thinking with that film?

I've only seen moments of it when it's played in a video store where I'm renting. It looked really, really bad, but all I've seen is a Mr. Freeze
sequence.
