Yes, the whole album (Guero) is really good. It was produced by the Dust Brothers, who also did Paul's Boutique (but you knew that).

they also produced Beck's "Odelay". DB do some amazing work, that's for sure!

I love Beck and I love the Dust Bros. - But, I don't think Guero is the best work of either artist or their best collab. It's not a bad album [by any means, some great tunes] It's just on the bottom of my Beck listening pile.

All that said I was listening to the letter "F" songs on my iTunes and "Farewell Ride" came on. I was pleasantly surprised by how excellent

that song is. In summary. Great collection of songs. Not so great as an ALBUM.

imho.

p.s. I was super psyched the first time I heard the watcha want drums on E-Pro.

That's why I was diaspointed with Guero. But whatever, it's a differnt work. It has it's own moments. Nothing will ever beat Hi Five [Rock the catskills]. Well, maybe some thing...who knows.

guero was my favorite, information is alright, but guero has the funnest tracks for me, guitars arent my fav thing to listen to though, so thats probably why.

Odelay is indeed way better than Guero. I liked Guero more than The Information though.

i am really enjoying the information. i think it's a great album. "cellphone's dead" is a very unique song and i really like the sound. i saw a London Live a few weeks ago from this past Beck tour, and i thought it was GENIUS with the puppets mimicking what they were doing on stage. i also liked the nerdy dancer.

I like all the early Beck shit when he just didn't give a fuck: "MTV Makes Me Want to Smoke Crack", "Golden Feelings", and "Western Harvest Field by Moonlight".

Mellow Gold was probably his best shit with Odelay following close behind. Mutations was awesome too.

I didn't like Midnight Vultures.

Sea Change and Guero were good but not great. I didn't even pick up his last one.

I like Beck best when he's got a sense of humor though. He was hanging with Mike D some back in the Ill Com days.
