I got crap for this the other day -

"Hey, I'm hanging up, I want to eat this."

What, why?

"I hate talking on the phone while I eat...it's just a mess...I can't savor the food..."

That's stupid, are you serious?

"..."

Am I the only one? Does everyone else chat away on their cell phone while they eat without a second thought? I didn't think they did. Maybe they do.

i generally try to avoid it. if im just grabbing a snack, then i dont care, but if im trying to eat a meal or something i won't pick up the phone

Eating while using the phone is bad.

Using the restroom while using the phone is bad.

Putting someone on speakerphone unnecessarily is bad.

Taking a call instead of conversing with the person who's actually with you is bad.

Talking loudly on a phone in public places is bad. Even worse if you're using foul language or fighting.

...that should get you started. (y)

this is the one that drives me crazy the most!

i can understand taking a call if its a parent or someone like that, but thats about it. and even then, unless they have something pertinent to tell you, then what are you doing.

its like, if you really have any care about said time together, then you'll tell whomever is on the phone that you will call them back later. that or just not answer...

I hate it when people have a mouth full of food and call me. I answer the phone to hear "om nom nom". And then they'll start talking after a huge gulp.

Another thing I hate is when people call me when they're having a conversation with someone else and not saying anything to me after I answer. I'll give em two seconds and then I'll hang up.

If the cell phone rings and you're with someone else, it's kind of rude to even look at it to see who's calling.

If you are waiting for a call, give the person you're with a heads up, and say that you'll keep it brief, and do it.

Otherwise, it's just rude.

a few years back i lived in this apartment, and i had yet to have a cell phone so all my calls went to the room phone.

well i never bothered to get up and answer it when i was in the living room or kitchen, so therefore the guy in the room next to me answered my phone more than i did. the only time i really bothered to take the phone from him was when it was my parents

The most annoying thing! Probably my biggest pet peeve.
