Actually, the thread title is kinds inspired by drederick t's avatar but that's how I feel ATM.

You ever have a drastic burst of many good events happen at once. So many things that you're so happy and exctited that you can't sleep and you actually feel like shit from being happy?

My sweetheart lady is undergoing the counseling and feeling so much better. To top it off, we're buying a two family house in jersey! The basement wil be my studio. Its got carpet, a sink, a stove and a toilet!!! Our floor has two bedrooms, the floor we will rent out has three bedrooms(2nd floor), nice quiet area with a graveyard nearby.

Cmon! Tell us your good events!

Yeah, haha. Go figure eh? Well, being that i already work in joisey, it's very convenient for me and my wife too since she works in Manhattan. It's a 10 min commute to work for me and a 20 min commute for her. I wasnt too thrilled either but, the more i see this house, the more i grow accustomed to it. That basement is gonna rock! And my wife has found her niche too on our main floor.

The main focus now is going through interviews to find some decent tentants to rent the second floor to.

And bring it on ramdikkatica. Put em uup! Put em up! Ill cicc you in the kooter!

If I resided/worked in the NY metro area Id live in Jersey. Its a lot cheaper, and not all of it is the shithole its rumored to be.

I got a new job that pays me a lot.

It's cheaper than NYC, but it's not exactly cheap compared to other areas and Jersey property taxes are very high.

the property tax is actually cheap at 5,700 per year. We really, really got a good deal on the house and it's a great buy for what it already is and the potential its got. All needed repairs as far as electrical, water and such will be taken care of by the broker and for us, as far as renovations and such goes, it's gonna cost 20k.

We just had a walkthrough with an inspecter today and he didn't find any bug problems but he did find that the main water pipe needs replaced and the electrical box had traces of burn marks inside of it. It's fairly a big deal but, not for us cause it will be repaired on the broker's dime before we sign and close it out.

Pssh, no lie there, sis! We both already put that in stone between us. Trust me, i used to detail autos for a living and the family vans of people that have only two kids. You should see the mess they can make in the van. Scribbles everywhere, lolipops stuck to the carpeting, just a complete mess. Take in mind that this is only their vehicle. Imagine what the house probably looks like.

I've just had a burst of good news and all it has made me is stressed ouuuttt.

Found out a couple of weeks ago that we (my company) are producing a film clip for Masta Ace when he comes to Australia in Dec. Yes, you heard right, Masta fucking Ace.

How on earth did this happen? We don't even have fucking business cards. Thats how unprofessional we are.

Then just yesterday I received a phone call from our city's biggest hip hop/skate/clothing etc store wanting us to do a commercial for them. Commercial? We've never made a commercial before!!!! But hey, sure, er... why not. We can do that. THEENNN, as we were in the store discussing things a tv station sales rep walked in, found out we were making the commercial, and he tells us he is so pleased to have met us because he can throw a fuckload of work our way, like 3 commercials a week @ $1500 each. "I know its not much" he says. NOT MUCH??? Jesus!!!!

This whole pretend-we-know-what-we-are-doing thing is wearing me down.

Somebody pour me a gin.

Well, where I'm moving to is in actual Jersy city and it's not one of the best areas but, it's not one of the worst ones either. It's actually an up and rising area due to it being very near to the PATH train which goes to WTC in about 15 minutes. From our house, it's an 11 min walk to the PATH station but, my wife has already decided that she will never walk home from the station at night cause she has to walk through some shady areas.

I got a new job that pays me a lot.

Well congrats! I do remember a thread you made a while back about it. What line of work is it again?

5700 a year, thats 475 a month, that's pretty steep if you ask me.

I work near Trenton, NJ and there's a good portion of the population that commutes to NYC on the daily. A lot of people move down that far from NYC because the proprety values are through the roof and they can get almost double the value of what they could get in N.Jersey. It's about an hour train ride to Penn Station.

That's awesome that you're going to have a floor to rent out as added income.
Eric fucking Trump.

JERSEY CITY IN DA HOWSE! REPRAZENT!

Where in JC? Our house is downtown, near Van Vorst Park on York Street.

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding tenants. There are always young professional types who work in NYC who are looking for places within easy commuting distance. We have never had any shortage of people wanting to rent our place. If you do think you need any help from a realtor though, there's a guy named Dennis who works for Riverside Realty in Hoboken; he is a straight up guy and serves as our local property manager since we are over here. He might not be available at the moment though; I think his wife was due to have a baby yesterday or the day before. So he may be a little busy.

Journal Square and we just got done with having a late night walkthrough cause we've only seen the place during the day. She met me at my work, coming from her work and we jumped on the path. It only took us a whole five mins till we got to the journal square stop. Eh, it was kinda an active neighborhood walking to our house at 2300 but once we reached our block, it was so peaceful and quiet.

We met our neighbors. Wholesome, genuine folks. Man, they offered my wife and I some drinks, we sat and had a chat for two hours and everyone clicked. Here it is, 0550, we just got to our house a half an hour ago, from there.
