The curious thing about relationships is that one does usually have all the answers, but for some unknown reason very far away from our rationality, sometimes we don’t apply them. The trick isn’t finding the answers or the solution, but finding the strength to pick them up with your own bare hands while they’re dangling right in front of you. One knows what’s right, what’s wrong, what’s unacceptable and so on, but in the world of relationships, forgiveness plays a bigger role than many of us would like to accept. It’s like an eternal collection of get out of jail free cards that sweep away incidents as if they never happened…only to come back later in the future as even bigger threats than they were during the time they took place. They’ve aged and settled like the sugar in an unwashed cup that’s been sitting there for days and that’ll now take much longer to clean than it would have in the beginning.

Im not only referring to big incidents, but small ones as well, things that are ignorantly unattended to that mold the bigger picture:your relationship. Its the short term that builds the long term.
