I do know a few people that will be there but they're only aquaintances so we'll get to have nice awkward small talk the whole time.

I actually kind of like drinking alone when I go to bars. Gives you a minute to soak it all in without really focusing on having to make any kind of output to anyone.

I went to the pub on my own on Friday but luckily I knew people there but it felt weird at first but my intention was to get drunk and after a few beers everyone will talk to anyone anyway

Most people have to work early tomorrow/were already doing something but I would have gone no matter what, and some of my friends don't really have my same sense of humor or at least I don't think would have enjoyed the show.

Ah well I found someone to come and it was fun! We didn't even have to pay because no one was manning the door at the time and I met Neil and took a photo with him and he said he liked my hat! WOooo

I go to bars alone all the time. I don't need to be social there. If I come across someone to talk to, I will, but I go there to drink, relax, and think. I'm pretty optimistic when in contact with people at bars, however I only go to bars that are relatively quiet, and not full of loud and idiotic people, and nor loud music. I hate loud music at bars. Having said that, going to bars alone all the time gets dull and boring. If it wasn't for wanting to relax my mind with alcohol, I would have no reason to want to go there. Also: I don't drink alcohol to get piss drunk.

i don't go to the bar alone, but i always end up going to shows/concerts by myself.

saturday night even, i went to see galactic and nobody i asked even knew who they were. only one person was willing to go (since i sent them a couple of their tunes to check out) but she wasn't old enough to get in.


but i always have to find people to drag to shows since none of my friends seem to listen to half the groups that i do.

And I always feel weird when I'm waiting for a friend to show up if i get to the bar early.

But going to a comedy show or a music show...no problem with that.
