The guy wants to sue his fans and those who have websites using his photos, sort like putting the cat back in the bag. He can shake the shack but that Prince sure is an odd duck (http://music.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,,2206460,00.html).

Using his image is without consent, permission, and proper compliance is damaging beyond any financial recoup. It's an infringement on his constitutional rights. Obviously Prince has hired Jackie Chiles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byOVBhy6Vhg)as legal counsel. These unauthorized fan sites are outrageous, egregious, preposterous.

Yea I dont get the youtube thing at all, I had "Kiss" on my profile for the longest time then all of sudden *poof* gone.

You have all the money in the world, your not loosing anything by having your damn videos on youtube...and I still buy your records too.


I could understand him going at for folks sampling his music since he is legendary with how protective he is of it (so anyone who knows of Prince should know not to do that) but yea the youtube thing was a drag...plus its really was the easiest way to watch him run in them heels he loves so much. That video is genuis....

Controversy followed this decision, too, when a mother from Pennsylvania posted a clip of her baby dancing to his 1984 hit Let's Go Crazy and Prince's lawyers demanded it was taken down.


the dude has always been out there but I guess genuis has a price and he is one of the best to have done it from the 80's and still be doing it today
