i've mentioned her here a few times before. you may know who im talking about. there's this girl at work that seems to be fairly infatuated with me. im just not interested. i avoid her all day long and try not to make small talk with her. the only times i really have spoken to her is when she rushes upstairs to the break room when i go on break and traps me up there and sits by me and tries to have a conversation with me. she talks to me like a dweeby 13 year old boy trying to talk to his older sister's hot friends. or like today when i was waiting outside on the bench for the bus she just happened to come out for a cigarette break. the only time she comes to that side of the building to have a cigarette is when im over there. no one is even suppose to be smoking on that side of the building because it's near the main entrance. this has been going on for about 2 years now. i try to completely ignore her. and when she tries to talk to me i just end the conversation as fast as possible and leave.

two years and she still keeps at it. i don't think i ever had an actual conversation with her. im not even sure what it is she likes about me. i treat her pretty coldly. i don't know what i need to do to get the message to her. i think she thinks im just being shy and if she's persistant enough something will eventually happen.

do i need to just tell her flatly that i want nothing to do with her? i don't want to hurt her feelings. she seems like a sweet girl. this prolong interest in me is just plain unusual to me.

there was another guy there before she latched on to me that she was all weird/obsessed about too. then he got fired. then she latched on to me. she was even weirder with him. she'd come in on her days off and follow him around. he wasn't interested in her either.

the first two years i worked with her she never spoke to me. then all of a sudden after the guy got fired(he was only there for about 4 months) she just wouldn't leave me alone. she seemed to not even like me when i first started working there. i tried to make conversation with her and she just seemed to think i was an asshole. i don't get it.

i feel 2 years of doing this is just waaaaay to long to be mentally stable.
