I haven't enjoyed REM in concert since the early 1990s. I keep giving them a chance because my friend is a big fan, but they always disappoint. Paul, you should dream bigger. Ask for Radiohead, or at least Sigur Ros. They've both got new albums out.

I'm done with Beasties unless they come to my town, but if they're still going to play shows in 2008, I hope they give more people an opportunity to see them in a small venue. We've had some really special opportunities in the past couple of years.

I just bought REM Live....its so fuckin good, check it out. So Bboys/REM would be a dream for me, at the moment. Im praying for Radiohead too, but a worker for Goldenvoice said no Radiohead at Coachella, but who knows...until they release the poster, nothing is official. But seeing another festival a month earlier have the bboys is a good sign.

Well, I hope that you get them then. I am afraid that I cannot tolerate Michael Stipe anymore.

The new Sigur Ros live CDs sound terrific, but on some level they sound so good they don't sound live and then you wonder what the point of it is. Still, I've listened all the way through about five times within the past week and I never do that with new CDs.

Lots of Jam bands on the bill. Seems like the crowd would love A Gala Event. Let me put it this way, I gotta have A Gala Event, my kids gotta have A Gala Event, my wife doesn't want my kids to have A Gala Event, but that doesn't stop The Beastie Boys from giving it to them.

Langerado Festival

You may be right, we may be crazy, but we just may be the lunatics you're looking for. For no particular reason, we will be playing the Langerado Festival at the Big Cypress Reservation in South Florida on Friday, March 7 2008.

They did that billy joel cover that was on the alive single. That was a live recording from a concert. Its on one of the cd singles and its also on the promo 45. The lineup for this festival looks crazy. Nice to see the beastie boys on there will all those other people. I saw REM once on the monster tour.
