because i googled "relic magazine", and...well, i think relix is more relevant to the beastie boys

I just came back from the book store where I picked up this month's Relix magazine with the boys on the cover. When I went to the counter to pay, the guy behind the register says "whoa, these guys are old". I responded w/ a "hey now", and he tried to back peddle but the damage was done.

I haven't read the entire article yet (ya know, w/ work and my new dvd taking all my time) but caught a quote of Yauch saying (about their "reg" shows on the last tour) "...You have to think about which songs you like playing and which lyrics you like saying, so it puts you in the right frame of mind for writing the next record".

Write away, Yauchster, write away :D:D:D

The CD that comes with the issue is pretty good too.

Isn't it funny when print journalists feel the need to prove that they're "in on the joke" with this band? I don't envy their job, but I give props to those writers savvy enough to just print what the Boys say without all the disclaimers and assurances that, ha ha, they jest and I get it. Let the people decide what's what. Oh well still a good read.
