ive found out that a lot of my friends are mainly by subtle little things like on their facebook or something. then theres some people who you think are, but then they say things like "lolcats" instead of "caturday" and you know they're probably the people that got sent the funny cat pictures in an email by their grandma. and then theres always some kind of instance where you're getting the feeling that they are and you want to ask but thats kind of an awkward question.

once someone did a roll call on my school and there were tons and tons and tons of responses. i guess things like that happen when you have a school full of nerdy engineering students. but thats what i cant figure out. if its the population at large or if its just my school thats highly knowledgeable about these things.

it's also important to note that when i say "all my friends" i mean like... 4 people, and apparently a guy i work with.

i dont have a very large sample size.

i think it's her way of making her feel better about spending so much time online by criticizing me for the amount of time i spend on the internet.

this thread has nothing to do with how much time i spend on the internet. or if it does, its in the most indirect way in which most of our threads/posts show some tale-tale signs that we're on here way too much.

im not sure if you meant you actually didnt know what lolcats were or if you made that statement thinking it was my opinion, but just in case - you've probably seen caturday pictures and just not known there was a name for them. pretty much if you've ever seen an amusing picture of a cat on the internet, usually with a clever caption. if they caption is supposed to be something the cat is thinking/saying, its got everything misspelled, cause cats dont know how to read
