YAY! i'm attempting to make my own stuffing this year from scratch. we'll see how that turns out!
thanksgiving kinda sucks for matt and i. our fams always do dinner at the exact same time so most of the time we have to split up. either that or we skip one whole family, and i do not wanna do that!

thats why seth and i split the holidays... usually one year my family will have thanksgiving and his will have christmas and then the next year we swap.
its worked out pretty well the past few years... and its so much easier than trying to please both families on one day.
good luck on the stuffing... i LOVE stuffing too much

well see, i have an issue here and i'm gonna sound like a jerk. mine is a good old fashioned southern family with about 25 people talking, eating and partying and having a good time. most of them know i'm veggie and they make plenty of stuff for me to eat so i'm not "left out". they even try my tofurkey when i make it.
but his family is very quiet and small. they make traditional northern food which pretty much includes oysters in everything and sausage all over the place. and they do NOT care if i'm veggie or not. so i'm usually stuck with some salad and MAYBE mashed potatoes if it's not made with the turkey juice. it's rather depressing.
i guess we both prefer our family's food to being with each other. that's kinda sad now that i think about it.

happy eatz my southern friends, you're running late....I wonder if the fact that your Turkey time is so close to christmas feasting, lends to obesity in your land....I'm not saying you're fat...well....actually as a nation you are pretty damned fat,no disrespect....."We didn't land on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock landed on us." ....:)

Have yum, yum som thom and texturized vegetable protein day.
I'm pretty sure I'm not doing anything family oriented on turkey day. Most of them are to annoying. This would be the first time I have not gone but oh well.

Me and the fiance also have to split up for part of T-day. At least our families are in the same town, about 10 minutes apart, so we can go to both/

It's days like this that I really miss my family back home. They called me to tell me they're cooking and everyone's over, meanwhile the Canadians don't even celebrate.
Luckily, I have the best roommates ever and they knew I was feeling homesick so we bought foods to make for tonight. :)
Have a good one, 'Murrica!

Turkey is not my favourite ... I get more bored when I eat it I think
