i never got around to rating the gig in the appropriate thread, but i have to say that the futuresex/loveshow was the most amazing concert i have ever been to in my life.

musically, it can't top the cure or basement jaxx, but the show itself was fucking mental.

also was impressed by the amount of musos, guys and older people in the audience. thought it would all be screaming 15 year olds. nope, everyone loves JT.

i went to see muse the next night, i spent the whole night wishing i was at JT's second perth show.

amazing. motherfucking amazing.

I don't know if I could get into that style.

I suppose it's good clubbin music but, I've been out of that scene for quite a while now and I'm not sure how it would look for a middle aged man with a few JT cds in his collection.

A middle aged woman with a few of his cds doesn't sound so strange. In fact, it sounds normal.

He does however deserve some props cause he's been around for a while...In different form and that alone deserves some respect.

i went with my brother who'd already seen him before. my brother is not gay and he is nearly 34.

My bro likes his style of music but, he doesn't like JT in particular.

He's 37, during the 80's, he was into shit like Cameo, Hoodini, and stuff.

Whereas, I was into the more solid stuff like LTI, LLcoolJ-Radio and Bad, Eddy Grant, Prince-1999, Hambone, RUN DMC.

Some of his music is good. But a lot of his shit gets on my nerves. And listening to the guy talk in interviews, or accepting awards or hanging around rappers, I just want to punch him in the throat. But yeah, he's okay.

only time i've seen him was when he made a surprise guest appearance at a NERD concert i went to. the show got a lot better from that moment on.

hope the gig was good Gareth.

yep, it would easily be right up there for me too.
it was just a really tight show.
even the dancing was kinda cool, especially during "damn girl"
"cry me a river" was awesome.
before the show, you could kinda tell that there were heaps of guys who were being dragged along by their girlfriends and were probably sceptical
but i reckon they had all been won over by the time the show ended.
