JACKSON, Mo. -- A collision with a semi-trailer truck seven years ago left 52-year-old Deborah Shank permanently brain-damaged and in a wheelchair. Her husband, Jim, and three sons found a small source of solace: a $700,000 accident settlement from the trucking company involved. After legal fees and other expenses, the remaining $417,000 was put in a special trust. It was to be used for Mrs. Shank's care.

Two years ago, the retail giant's health plan sued the Shanks for the $470,000 it had spent on her medical care. A federal judge ruled last year in Wal-Mart's favor, backed by an appeals-court decision in August. Now, her family has to rely on Medicaid and Mrs. Shank's social-security payments to keep up her round-the-clock care.

Boycott these greedy slimey MADE IN CHINA ass munchers for life!

Merry Chri...Holidays!

For me to get to a Wal-Mart, I would have to pass five or six Targets in the process...so its a pretty easy boycott.

Man, cheap stuff is so good though.

On the real, I don't even know where a Wal-Mart is out here. I haven't actively tried to search one out anyway. Plus, kind of similar to NLOL, I know where a ton of Targets are already... so that takes care of that.

Target on a Sunday morning = Land of MILF's.

SS, I had to go to one in Torrance to pick up an emergency pair of contact lenses... the only other one was in inglewood.

my coworkers called me a "true republican" for shopping at the only store which could fill a prescription after 8PM

Yeah, Torrance and Inglewood are quite the trek for me. Okay, so it's really not that far... but I wouldn't drive all the way down there just for some Wal-Mart. I also, for some reason, think there might be one by my friends who live up in Northridge. Somewhere in the valley... Woodland Hills, Encino, or something like that. It's up there somewhere.

Target is a significantly less offensive shopping experience.

agreed. i haven't shopped wal mart in years. my husband suggested maybe we break our boycott to get the new Futurama at midnight tonight, but we quickly changed our minds, we can wait.

i wish more people saw how terrible that company is.
