snow is great. except when I have to walk 20 minutes from my bus stop and my breath keeps freezing up immediately when it hits my hair so it all turns white. :(

it froze pretty rock hard right away. its the icy part that makes my shins hurt because your legs are all tensed up the whole way just expecting yourself to fall.

Im so gonna make up a mug of creme brulee flavoured hot chocolate.

So you're actually walking ON the snow then.

I know the feeling, when I worked at the paper mill I had a 30 minute walk in the morning and one in the afternoon. Shins = ouch!

...actually, if you know "Walking in the Rain," that'd be great. (y)

You know what’s beneficial though, the way you kind of squeeze your buttocks as you make your way bout…good on the gluts…also as a runner I’ve never had shin splints….what I don’t like is when you get that dry shallow snow that when ya crunch across it is like chewing tinfoil or pulling wet woolen mitts off with your teeth…

its more of the attempting to walk fast in the snow that makes my shins hurts. no other activity does it to me like that.

and yeah, im just bushed when i arrive at my destination because its like i just used every muscle in my body just to walk 8ish blocks.
