Do you own a class ring, either college or high school?

If so do you wear it?

I sucked into owning my college ring, but it feels really odd to wear it. I suppose I'll wear it at graduation, though.

I've met some class rings in my time.

My mom got me one for high school graduation... my dad said he would buy me one for college graduation but he wasn't around to see that one.

So, I have a high school class ring that I never wear. Heck, I don't even know where it is either. I don't think I'd wear my college class ring either, honestly. But if I had it I'd probably keep it in my jewelry box thing where I keep my watches.

I have both my high school ring and my college class rings.

I no longer wear either. however I did wear them for at least my senior years in each school and for a bit afterwards.

I would wear them again for a class reunion or something like that.

I have a high school class ring. I've been out of high school for 5 years and I still wear it, not because I love it...mainly because I got it a size too small and its incredibly difficult to take off without some sort of lubricant...so I just leave it on and dont even bother. I'm lazy:)

It's tradition to get it your junior year of HS where I went, there was a ring ceremony and all this other crap. You had to have everyone turn your ring on your finger the number of times comparable to the year of graduation. I graduated in 98 so ...yea 98 times. The majority of catholic schools around where I grew up let you design your own ring but where I went it was the same ring for everyone for like over a hundred years, you just picked gold or silver. I wore it throughout HS and maybe a few months after graduation...but not since....cool thing though, I was at a store a few years back and some old lady stopped me because of my class ring, she went where I did and had the same ring at home. So that was kinda neat.

yeah, that is kind of neat.......for a lame-o. i keed. Did you guys do your school handshake or anything cool like that?

never understood the class ring thing. i kind of equate it with people asking their main squeezes to wear their letter jackets in the 50's.

Then again, this is coming from someone who didn't want a year book after 7th grade.

I think they are soooo tacky and juvenille....class jackets as well, smells like post secondary spirit...ugh....but they do help to identify engineers so you can bash them accordingly....:D

But you still have proms, yearbooks and a dodgy area of woodland overlooking your town which is affectionately known as "Make-Out Point" right?

Man Amercian schools sure are weird.

Do people over there still wear letter jackets just like Happy Days?

When I was in high school, only the athletes wore letter jackets...they were hideous! On away game days, they'd let their girlfriends wear their jackets to school...it was soo lame

i remember when we were all called down to the auditorium through the intercom in alphabetical groups to get our yearbook pictures taken, i would just wonder the halls for a half hour and never get my picture taken. they would always used pictures from middleschool for me.

yeah, those rings were ugly and pointless. I suppose if you were totally in love with your high school, you'd want a ring to commemorate it...but ugh. not for me.

I do have a marine corps ring that my first boyfriend gave me. it looks like a class ring, it's huge, I used to wear it on my thumb. I should probably give it back...I've had it for 10 years though. he's married with two kids, maybe I should mail it...to iraq? :(

I had one but never wore it after high school, so I wound up selling it.
