i was planning to go to a law school social function

i've sort of come to hate my school generally but one of the things i have to give it credit for, is that it schedules very very few classes on fridays, so every second thursday there's a "bar review" (get it?) where everyone hangs out at a local bar and gets drunk

thing is i generally don't go because i sort of dislike everyone at this law school save a few people. some of those few people were gonna go tonight, and i was gonna go too, but i skipped out

I haven't been out for two months now.

The last time I did, I almost got in a fight with a karaokey dj and the bartender and I'm still wondering why. Me to the dj, "ya got any Beastie Boys?". The dj, "no". Me, "how bout STP?" The dj, "damn you're a demanding dickhead aren't you? I'd like to kick your ass" After staring at him and wondering what his problem was, I decided to just walk away and get a drink.

Me to the bartender, "jameson on the rocks please". Bartender, "don't have any". Me, "how bout a Stoli vodka martini then?" Bartender, "you're an asshole, ya know that? I'd like to take you outside".

I was just looking at him like WTF? And asked him if he and the dj were soulmates and I was kinda pissed about their attitudes so I told them that if they want to rumble then we can go out and rumble.

Of course my wife told me that we needed to just leave and go to another bar and she called them assholes and we'd never recommend the place to anyone.

I don't even remember where it was but I'll never spend my money there again.
