The house that I'm planning on getting, I'm using the VA loan for the mortgage. It's already specified on the contract that this is how I'm buying it. The seller already signed the contract, it was reviewed by my attorney, having all of our sigs on it.

Yesterday I got a call from the broker and she told me that the seller's attorney doesnt want to accept the VA loan cause it takes too long and they always end up finding alot of things wrong with the house that the seller needs to take care of during the appraisal before closing the deal.

I called my attorney and she told me that firstly, the broker had no right to call me about it and should've called her instead. Also my attorney said they really couldn't do that since it's been specified that I'm using the VA loan and the seller already signed the contract. My attorney told me that this sounds like some shady work that brokers are known for doing.

I want to use the VA loan cause for one thing, I'm a vet and another thing, my credit isn't all that great. The other houses I have were easily bought by me in cash from my Mom, so, I didnt really establish any credit that way.

I don't know what to do. I'm thinking on telling the broker to find another buyer cause I'm pissed and I also want to test them to see what they say. It took my wife and I alot of time gathering all of our information for the loan just to have the seller change their mind like this.

If you really want this particular house, then I would say, let your attorney handle it, as that is what you are paying her for, and refer any future calls from the broker to her.

Maybe that's what they want you to do, to back out of the deal, because they have a higher offer from someone else.

I wouldn't just call it off like that without a fight. Buying a home is rarely ever smooth, stuff like this is very common. Real Estate Brokers are like fucking used car salesman.
