There's a few hundred American Gangster remix albums floating around right now. I wasn't really feeling American Godfather (which was the most hyped one so far) that much, but I don't mind this (http://rs265.rapidshare.com/files/75848637/Dj_Doc_Rok_-_American_Zeppelin.rar). I think it's just as good as The Grey Album....meaning it's okaaaay. Some tracks suck. Others are better than the album versions.

a new American Gangster mixtape, seems to be following down the same path of every new Lil Wayne song(s).

Same old song, just a new cover

Pretty good mash up, short, but has some good songs

The "All My Love" sample track is good.

This sounded so much better in the car. I don't think I gave it enough credit. It could just be that I really like Zeppelin. The vocals really match the beats, though. The only track I'm not really feeling is the No Hook/Tangerine joint.

Yeah, I think it's quite firm.

AMERICAN GANGSTER OPERA (http://rs127.rapidshare.com/files/75097634/Grinehouse_Presents_-_Jay-Z_-_American_Gangster_Opera.rar)

I wonder what other highly imaginative opuses are currently in the works....American Hot Chili Peppers...American Idiot Gangster....American Side Of The Moon...American Gangster Of The Rings.....

I downloaded the acapellas last night with slight intentions of starting my own project. After my last one (http://beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=84341) I was left wanting to make more music.

Thanks. That track seems to be the most disputed, quality wise. Someone mentioned it in a blog (http://community.livejournal.com/wonky_blog/13335.html) about the mixtape stating it as a "low point" then someone made a reply to the blog saying how he liked the track.

On another note, I've started my attempt at a remix of the American Gangster. Hiphopdx.com has issued a comp for remix albums to be finished before the end of December.

I decided to leak the only track I've made of this album so far (as it uses a Christmas sample).

This is really good. I agree with mickill's assessment that the only real weak point is the No Hook/Tangerine track. My favorites are Say Hello/Kashmir, American Gangster/Immigrant Song, and Success/Moby Dick.
