Honestly, the reason why this board is like cardboard is because the prominent, witty people who used to post 10-15 posts a day have moved on. There's just a lack of the 'old guard' quality people here. Yeah, there was some drama and some nastiness but generally it was enjoyable. Now it's like 'Well, other than Bob and Kid P, who else is there to say enjoyable things?' No one, that's who. Oh, and I rather enjoy Dandy Fop's TV threads.

Other than those mentioned and a few others I probably forget, it's cardboard. Rubbish.

You're right about the 'Golden Age' theory; it's possible that my idea of 'witty' and 'clever' are relative to me. I like this board too but there does seem to be something different than years before-- maybe it's just maturing and moving on that makes it seem this way.

really i think the problems is that the mythago/dusty brain/sprewell trifecta of hate and funny and awesome was broken
