recommend some headphones

for a portable music playing device, such as an iPod.

I have small ears. ear buds don't work for me.

also, I don't like wrap around style

or noise cancelling

or hang on the outside of the ear kind (again, my ears are small)

I can spend like 50 bucks.

Normal ear buds don't work in my ears either, so I bought some with squishy ends. Perfect!

uhh, ear buds also make my ears hurt too much. I have some squishy rubbery ones, but the squishy part fell off and they are sharp!

You have stumped me. What is left?

I hate ear buds. The ipod ones hurt my ears and the other ones seem to amplify my own person human noises. I used crappy sony wrap on the ear ones or expensive noise canceling ones depending on where I am when I'm listening.
