my cousins got a wii and like 8 games, including guitar hero III.

I want one. I NEED ONE!

Eh, it's not the be all end all game but it's good.

I picked up the Wii version recently and the online is annoying as crap unfortunately.

Wii has guitar hero? I thought that was just for Xbox 360/playstation. Then again, no one I know in Canadia has a wii so I wouldn't know.

My roommate is SICK on it. He can do expert and get 100% on some of the songs...others, he makes an average of 95%. I do NOT know how, I can barely do medium.

Yeah, the Wii has one but it has all kind of disadvantages to the other versions. It doesn't come in stereo even though it's advertised as so (they're getting sued and the company has to give free stereo discs out soon) and as of right now you can't download new songs, although that may change next year.

I've played the game before but never actually practiced but now that I bought one and can I've realized how hard it can be.

I get about 89% on medium for crying out loud

I really want the Wii version and the Smashing Pumpkins guitar faceplate. Unfortunately since I'm a poor bastard I'll probably be relegated to playing my roommates 360 copy of GH2. :(

They got Cherub Rock on III. I haven't had a chance to play it even though I already unlocked it. I'll report back on it to make you jealous :)

My goal is to substitute smoking with GH on hard, and 5-star the motherfucker.

It's sad. Everybody laughs at me at work when I go all "GUITAR HERO, OMGZ!@" if someone even were to mention the words.

But hey- I do attract large crowds in Wal-Mart when playing. Go me.

I've been playing the second one the past few days and it's lots of fun, although I don't think I'd play it solo. I've played guitar for real a few times, so I keep moving my fingers around as if I'm actually going to hold strings down so I end up fumbling on the buttons. I keep saying out loud "STOP MOVING YOUR FINGERS DAMN IT."

We require beer and at least two people. And the game is almost always followed up by Singstar 80's. haha. :o

I think the track listing is all-around greater, but no. Graphics are shit, slow response when hitting notes...

I wish GH had come out with Rock Band. Not gay MTV.

the people who made the first three guitar heroes (GH1, GH2, GH 80s) made rock band, Mtv just paid the bills.

I just got a PS3 so I might have to save up for Rock Band since it has assloads of downloadable songs right now.

I would love to have Rock Band. I want to be a drummer. I was tempted to buy a PS3 the other day just because Game Stop had Rock Band in stock. :p

I've heard nothing but good things about Rock Band.

I guess the story goes that Harmonix saw the konami guitar freaks game and wanted to make a game that didn't suck and have 50 lb controllers on top of it's suckitude.

Red Octane said they could build such a device and development on guitar hero started. After making tons of cash and having offers come in daily, Red Octane made a deal with Activision sans Harmonix. So Harmonix got Mtv on board and made Rock Band.
