no?
well, there have been a few that i haven't seen yet but the ones that stood out from the crowd were
Stardust
American Gangster
The Golden Compass
plus i should also mention This is England and Perfume because they weren't released here til 2007
same as above i really enjoyed Day Watch, but i've got a fairly biased opinion towards it. considering it was made on a $4 million budget i thought it was pretty damn good.
anyway, that's my thoughts, and now it's your turn...........

I really really really want to see There Will Be Blood.
So far, the best movies I've seen are No Country for Old Men, Gone Baby Gone, Michael Clayton, and Ratatouille. No Country is the
closest thing to a great movie I've seen this year, but the others are damned good.

yeah that's something i definitely want to check out. it's rated fairly highly on the imdb top 250 right? then again the bourne fucking ultimatum is on that list too
closest one to a great movie from mine would have to be either Perfume or Stardust

No Country is a pretty difficult movie, in a way. There's a narrative jump that makes a lot of sense intellectually, but is really really
unsatisfying in another way. I probably need to see it again, now that I know what to expect, but it kind of fucks with you the
first time you see it.
Yeah -- forget IMDB. Try metacritic.com or Rotten Tomatoes instead.

I haven't seen it.
I don't really know how to explain it without giving anything away.
The Onion did a comparison between the book and the movie, and it sounds like the book had narration throughout which the Coens
mostly dropped, and I think it might've helped to keep it.
You'll just have to see it, unless you want me to give some of it away.

all the movies i've seen so far this year were decent, but nothing outstanding
i've been meaning to see no country for old men, and my dad told me the great debaters was pretty fantastic as well. i'd like to try and see both of those in theaters if i can manage

thanks for the idea. I'm gonna have another look at it again tonight at work.
First time I watched it, I had a freakin bad toothache and I couldn't pay attention to it so I just ended up going to bed. From what I saw of it, it was fairly interesting.
