Hey all,
Mike D's wife, Tamra, has an online cooking show. Thought you should hear it from me first instead of reading it in the NYT or something in a couple weeks.
http://www.tamradaviscookingshow.com/
She's an amazing cook so the food should be good.
But even cooler (to me) is that she shoots/edits it all herself. Pretty amazing when you look at some of the "in the city" shots -- she goes and sets the tripod down, gets the shot, then goes to collect the camera. Heh.
Enjoy.

I still think it's creepy and weird when people film their kids in their own homes and post it on the internet. I didn't watch those clips, but I hope she didn't post where her kids go to daycare again.

Yeah, that is definitely cool. With all the different angles and close-ups she gets in the kitchen, you'd never guess. I love those city shots too -- must take a lot of planning, not to mention trust!

I like it when Mike spooks through the kitchen randomly.

i didn't want to be the only one who didn't say, omg omg that's so cool (LOL sarky).
i watched the one about the pizza and thought, wow, not exactly gourmet... why is this being broadcast?
it's sweet how she's just like an ordinary mum. getting out the house is usually the biggest daily challenge with small kid(s)... that and getting some shut eye.
kind of awww tho... just not omg omg. :o

These are the same ones that were on youtube ages ago. Now she's posted the one I saw before, where you can find out exactly when and where her kid goes to school. I know that I'm paranoid from having worked with criminals for most of my adult life, but I find it disturbing.
I'm not going to criticize Mike's family, so I'll just say that I feel for her being tied down with little kids. She was a talented director at the beginning of her career. I really did like that Drew Barrymore movie when it came out.
There's nothing more important than raising your kids if you decide to be a parent, so good for her for throwing herself into that. I just don't think anyone should put their kids on the internet (or reality TV).

Yeah, weird, I'm watching the latest one -- it's not even like "oh you can tell from the context," she states the time & place outright. Maybe she left it in b/c they don't go there any more?
Gotta say, I love Mary Ann's -- hilarious how she's like, "next, I bought some sauce from a restaurant." My kind of cooking show.* ;)
I want her neighbor's marble counter tops but I bet they're a bitch to keep clean. All in all, I come away thinking about home decor, Mike D and camera technique more than enchiladas. But I'm watching.
* Edit: Does that sound sarcastic? It's not! I really think let's be real and use store-bought items sometimes. Just clarifying.

i'm thinking of making the macaroons. pretty sure i have some coconut and an egg downstairs.
i discovered that those movies aren't very compatible with firefox... well not on my browser they aren't. i viewed them more satisfactorily with ie. viewing them helped me appreciate them better. tamra's neighbour is funny. is it normal to not know how to cut an onion up? and can we have an idea of what's in mole sauce? maybe i have to watch them all more carefully.
