I've been trying to mess with this since I got my first ipod today. I looked at some stuff for help and nothing really speaks on it. My Windows Media Player can't play DVDs because it says a necessary drive is missing so would that have anything to do with it or can you not use certain DVDs?
Any help would be really appreciated.

you have to download the latest version of windows media player to play the dvd's, then, just then, I think you can save them as a playlist but I'm not sure how you import them or what they need to be saved as. Hope it helps. (If not, just google "how to import dvd's on ipod (nano or video or w/e you got):) Now can you help me with my question. I have a camera and when I import stuff, I import it to adobe photoshop. It then saves it as an automatic .mov file. I want to change it to another movie or video file(perferably .avi)so I can then add it to mediajoin so I can combine the videos I make. How do I re-save or convert this .mov file to an .avi so I can combine it? Thanks to any one that helps! :):)

I actually got some great help from another board but thanks for the advice. I haven't messed with any pictures yet and definitely don't know anything about converting them to movie files.
