Every New Year I kinda look at my work week nightly dinner diet and try and throw something new into the loop....in no order, currently it goes like:

1 pasta dish (tomato marinara or a blanco carbonara)
1 rice dish (Risotto or a Curry)
1 Stir fry (Green Thai or Teriyaki)
1 pizza night (lazy)
1 natcho night (easy)

sometimes I do breakfast for dinner as well....but it seems really stale right now....anyone have any suggestions?

my favorite post work dinner is taking aluminum foil and throwing some frozen shelled edamame beans in the bottom. take a frozen salmon steak and put it on top of the beans. I season everything with an excessive amount of lemon juice, salt, pepper. and then I throw it in the oven for like 25ish minutes.

so fucking easy.

and sometimes Ill add a little minced garlic if I have the energy to spare.

Oh god I love edamame beans!...when I go for sushi we always order a bowl or 2,so simple,so tasty with a big frosty Kirin...I think they just boil them and hit them with sea salt, ultimate snacky food...I don't know why I never make them at home,I must remedy this....but I don't like salmon, grew up in Steveston, worked the fleet for many summers..too much of a good thing...except for "indian candy" which I love....oh or sometimes I mince smoked salmon and do a risotto....(y)

this sounds bloody great-have frozen soya beans tho which might use instead-i doubt they're too different-but am def. gonna do this.

i too am in severe need of new ideas. i think your list, moot, is pretty much identical to mine. trouble is,i cook something new and wonderful but never too extravagant and my kids get freaked out!and they are pretty good with their food-not too picky. i enjoy cooking but not when i'm bored to death with everything i cook

i'm on a diet so every night i have either marinated steak or chicken cooked on the grill served with a salad.

although i spent the entire weekend eating bruschetta
my version is
diced tomato
diced red onion
basil
salt n pepper
crumbled feta cheese

served on toast or toasted crusty bread which has been rubbed with garlic
quick and easy

oh and here's a really unhealthy option for dinner:

NACHO SPAGHETTI

spaghetti
salsa
bbq chicken
corn chips
cheese
sour cream
spring onion (optional)

mix bbq chicken pieces and salsa together and top the pasta with it
add a layer of crumbled corn chips
then a layer of cheese
microwave for 2 mins (approx)
then add sour cream and more crumbled corn chips
garnish with spring onions

^I love bruschetta...sometimes I just do a pick and grab platter,with antipasto,cheese,olives,pickled veggies,a little proscuitto or salami,baguette browned in a little oil...(y)

i gotta say that natcho spaghetti sounds kinda nasty,though...
