she's talking about Adrienne Shelley's film...
it stands on its own and lives up to the hype surrounding her death...
in other words, I liked it

Extremey well-written script. I love it. I thought about it for a long time afterwards which I find to be rare nowadays.

This one I sort of liked, but I wished I hadn't known the back story when I saw it.

I enjoyed it. Nothing amazing, but not bad by any means.

Could you be a little more vague, Crystal? I almost saw a hint of an opinion.

I think people are being so easy on it because the lady died.
dandy, really? "extremely well-written"?
It was poorly lit, the tone was all over the place, the actors' accents and hillbilly talk seemed very forced, the abusive husband was almost comical when he shouldn't have been, sometimes I thought it was a play, sometimes I thought it was a commercial for dish soap, and how did she have time to make all those damn pies if she has to wait tables too?
and...pie is a pretty weak metaphor for life.
that said, me and my doodle bug made that ham and brie pie and a chocolate strawberry pie yesterday because of the movie. yum.

Yup. Life is like a box of chocolates; we all know that.

^That's not a metaphor, it's a simile.
