There isn't much Megadeth that doesn't sound like some other band. Especially when they are mirroring Metallica.

This is an alternate version to their song Sin, so I hope you don't mean they ripped off themselves.

Which actually is entirely plausible.

Its kind of hard to say Megadeth is mirroring Metallica after listening to Rust In Peace. Yes it has power chords and face melting solos. But thats like saying anyone from the same musical genre is mirroring someone else from the same genre. At least thats the way I see it.

yeah, I dont know of any megadeth songs that mirror metallica except for Mechanix but it was done intentionally.

Megadeth is a pretty original band even though they switch guitarists and drummers almost every cd.

I can't think of any songs that sound like the one the thread is for.

Fine, I'll shout out some specific examples (Other than Dave naming the band Megadeth so that it would be placed right next to Metallica alphabetically).

A Tout Le Monde/Fade To Black--lyrics with very similar themes and the song is structured very closely

In My Darkest Hour/For Whom the Bell Tolls--this one is almost shameful. Its the same fucking song.

Anything off Cryptic Writings feels so much like the stuff on Metallica's Black Album or Load.
Trust/Enter Sandman almost start with the same feel/drumming/extended intro.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Mustane though. He's written to of the most metal songs in history: Holy Wars...The Punishment Due and 99 Ways to Die. Hangar 18 is pretty crazy too.
But then again he did write Crush 'Em....hmmmm.
Really sometimes Dave is just too funny sounding for his own good.
