oh I don't know, maybe they could take my package with very important time sensative materials to the completely WRONG address. one that isn't even close to the one on the packing slip. that's what UPS just did for me.
"What can BROWN do for you?" – only the fifth tagline in the company's history – provides continuity across the UPS brand as UPS extends its capabilities into logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, technology and finance.
"At UPS, brown is more than a color – it's a tangible asset that people associate with all the things that are good about our brand," said Dale Hayes, vice president for brand management and customer communications.
wrong Dale. when I think of brown I think of SHIT. and when I think of what you just did and how this is going fuck things up for my client, I think your company is SHIT.(n)
So um...other than Fed Ex (cause frankly I'm not that impressed with them either), anyone got any reliable alternatives to UPS?

oh god i hate UPS. everytime i order something and the sender uses them, they cant even find my house and i always end up ringing them to give them directions. they should just give the packages to An Post to deliver.

USPS gets no respect! They are here rain, sleet, snow, and tornado. Why use UPS and not their overnight service?
I, too, dislike UPS. Their delivery process is very unfriendly. I never order something from them for overnight delivery -- only their ground service. Because I live pretty close to one of their major distribution centers, I usually get ground orders in a day or two, anyway. And the regular driver -- who handles their ground deliveries but not the overnight ones, knows that the best time to deliver is when I'm home, after 5:30 PM.
But, you're right, DHL, FedEx, and UPS all pretty much suck. It's amazing that our little service based economy is so poor about providing customer service.

UPS does suck indeed. They delivered a package of mine to someone at the front door of my apartment building... and then I never got it.
Luckily, I made JC Penny duke it out with them and I got what I ordered again without any additional costs. Oh, and now my UPS dude knows me, so I think he'll be a little more on top of things. Maybe.
Other than that, do what marsdaddy says... stick with USPS. Maybe if more people start using them, the damn postal rates just to send a normal letter will stop going up all the time. I hate buying those penny stamps. Bastards.

Bastards. Can you imagine how much it must really cost to mail a letter? Labor, infrastructure, gas, etc.? It's probably a bit more than 41 cents -- is that the rate now?
Side note: what does it cost to mail a regular letter in other parts of the world?
