during our commutes to work or out jogging like porkchoppikkka should be, are mp3 players and headphones.
We should have something like a review to advise other people of the brands they have had and describing the uppers and downers.
I'll start with bose in ear headphones. i can't stand anything inside of my ears besides q-tips and my lady's tongue and I had a plentiful amount of these bose in ears.
Comfortable- yes. I'm impressed but the freakin rubber jobbies that make em feel so comfortable always fall off and shit when I'm in the store buying something and I end up having to crawl on all fours lookin for the damn shits.
So far I've lost both the small and medium attachments and only have a large set and i've got some pretty damn small ears.
Sound- i think they've went a little too far with enhancing the sounds and making them "clearer" by filtering out static and such. They've taken away alot of some band's original sounds by doing that. If you ask me, listening to music through them are very dull. The bass sounds decent but that's about it.
I'd give em 6.5 outta 10.
I use the headphones I got with my Sirius S50 for my Zune.
The first week or so of using them they weren't comfortable at all, but now they feel totally normal.
as far as sound...it sounds like its set on the chamber setting permanently. That is kind of annoying, but they do the trick, and I'm totally used to them now.

these are the only style I like wearing. Im already deaf enough without the bud earphones, and its not convenient to carry around the big fattie headphones.
Ive been rocking some version or another of the panasonic brand for a good 5 years.

eh the ones that came with my Archos were complete c--rap. The only good thing about them is the volume control on them. Other than that, they felt like 2 rocks in my ear, delivered shit sound and kept falling out.
I think anything that's "in ear" doesn't match with music. Over ear is much better for both clarity and texture of sound. Even if they're a huge set of phones, they fit snug over your head and stay on.
I use a pair of $20 jvcs that really bring the bass and sound and they sound way better than a pair of $100 Bose in ears.

see I've been meaning to check something like those out. They look comfortable and also look like they have the ability to bring the sound as well.
How are they on the bass and clarity? I also record with my headphones so I need something that won't distort and fuzz out. Something that can handle screaming guitar power chords.

i totally agree with that, but I can't use the over the ear headphones at work. i had these (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Sony-MDRV600-Headphones?sku=271080) but my fucking cat ate through the wires. Really good for mixing, on the plane, and for music and tv late at night.

wow, those look nice and sony makes a real decent set of phones. See, I'd rather shell out a hundred bucks for something like that cause I can imagine they can take some volume when recording. Another plus I see is that they come with the 1/4" adapter too and almost every effects pedal requires that kind of adapter.

yeah...i really miss them. well to be honest...i still have them, but the cord has been severed...i just can't throw em away.

Haha. If they were in my house they would've been tossed out with a quickness. My wife is a hurricane when she cleans. She'll ask me if I still want something and I'll tell her yeah. Go to look for it a few days later and she tells me she threw em out. Blargh.
I've got those in my sights. They look comfortable enough to ride the trains with too.
I'm also wondering the quality of Bose over ears too cause I've seen a number of pretty sturdy looking ones while on the trains.

how bout mp3 players. Anyone have any not so common brands that they can say good or bad things about?
My archos has been giving me trouble lately but it's probably my fault for downloading shit from crlimewire. It starts like an old car now and is constantly freezing up on me. However the screensize is great and the resolution is great and has alot of neat functions, I'm bout ready to go with something else. Maybe a Creative.

I have some Skull candy smokin ear buds with interchangeable ear inserts for different sizes and haven't had any problems with them
I also have a Zen touch 20 gig...it's a harddrive mp3 player with very little bells and whistles, slight problem with the headphone jack. I like it alot for the price regardless of it's size, it feels sturdy and holds a shitload of music
I don't use it much other than in the graph lab/drawing ceramics studios and on flights which are few are far between.

yeah and that's a good nickname for ya too, at the time being of your self glutton inflicted wounds. Hehe. It should be in the nickname thread. Along with Hymen Slurpa.
What kind of phones do you use to straddle over those brocolli ears?
