View Full Version : How much would it cost for Botox or a facelift?
I was just looking at pictures of myself from A YEAR AGO, and my face has changed drastically- not for the better, either.
At this point, I'm seriously considering a lift. idk...
This Loestrin's making me mad depressed. It's no fun having a period for 2+ weeks straight. :(

People are starting to die from the toxins in Botox building up in their systems. I never quite understood why people would think injecting toxic material into their bodies was a good idea, but then again...vanity makes people do some very strange things.

this is some of how much it would cost (http://www.awfulplasticsurgery.com/archives/000888.html) i.e a perfectly attractive woman making a mess of her face

My friend pays about £250 every 6 months for botox. She doesn't need it but says she is doing it as a preventative measure :(

Why cant people just be happy with that they have, how does she know she isnt damaging her face long term with this preventative measure? I dont get it

She also had 2 plastic surgery procedures last year as she wasn't happy with her lot. She is now, which makes me happy as her friend. But I still told her truthfully (beforehand) that she didn't need any of it.

I really think you're too young for botox. but sadly, if' you've got the money most clinics probably won't turn you away. Prices really vary for place to place. but mainly you want to be sure a MEDICAL professional is doing the injections.
I use to work in a clinic where we did botox and collagen injections. the average age of a person getting botox is about 35 and up. botox is mainly used for the furrow that forms between you eyebrows. and it causes paralysis. it's something you have to be very careful with because botox injections around the eye can cause your eye to droop like you've had a flipin stroke. don't forget that the botox compound is basically BOTULISM (http://diseases.emedtv.com/botulism/botulism.html) in a very small dose.
if you just wanna fill in lines and wrinkles then I think collagen injections are a better option. your skin already has natural collagen so it's something the body is already use to.
I seriously doubt you need to go under the knife. Trust me, the risks of doing a facelift far out weight the benefits you might receive from the procedure.
if you smoke ciggys, you need to quit. that will age the shit out of your skin in a perty short amount of time. Also consider making some changes to your diet. what you eat and drink can have alot to do with how your skin looks.
I'd say try some topical solutions, like one of those collagen cremes. Olay has a line of stuff to address the problems you are talking about.

Aren't you a bit young to be considering botox?
Maybe some exercise and a diet change could help? Do you drink/smoke/stay up late much?
You look fine, you're pretty and young...worry about being ugly 20 years from now

botox won't help with acne.....and isn't that your problem?
I'm pro plastic surgery...but I do think you are a little young for a facelift.
