i was working outside most of last week and it was rough. i had 3 pairs of socks on with my boots, and it still didnt help keep my toes from becoming numb.

on friday i actually got a little sunburn because the only way i could stay warm while standing around most of the time was to find the sunny spots and stare down the sun.

A) I don't have snow tires, and there was a blizzard that came through yesterday, and B) I am NOT waiting for the bus in that temperature! On the upside, I hear you can throw water into the air and it will freeze before it hits the ground. My nerdy science side wants me to try that this afternoon, after I bundle myself up in 14 layers.

Heiress, were your buddies up in Fort McMurray? My roommate is leaving to go there for 10 days today, totally sucks to be him.

I walked 20 minutes from my bus stop to work today and it was about -25 with the windchill and I was just dandy because I didnt have to face the wind in the direction i was walking. though my ipod stopped worked after about 10 minutes and i was afraid that my earphones cord was going to snap in half. weeeeeee.

Wednesday Temperature: 60 degrees, with high winds and off/on rain



Thursday Schedule: Lab at 4am to do inspection work that was canceled the day before

Thursday Temperature: 20 degrees and freezing rain/sleet more or less all day with slightly lesser winds

it's cold and snowy for sure, but I am dealing with it alright because my boots rule. seriously, warm dry feet make all the difference. I had a plutonic date with my plutonic boyfriend tonight, and I thought all the travelling outside was going to suck, but I was bundled and lucked out on the bus schedule and caught a cab after the show right away. I accidently lost our photobooth pictures somehow though and ran outside to look for them without the layers (just the overcoat) and it was fucking freezing. not too bad though, since I was running the whole time. I didn't find them. :( they must be in the cab. I'm a bad friend.
