78 years old. Damn.

One of my favorite Gene Hackman anecdotes is from THE FIRM. He wanted his name above the title and the studio said no -- contractually,
only Tom Cruise's name goes above the title. Fine then -- you don't get to use my name or image at all when you market it. Which is
what happened.

That piece of shit was still a hit, but hey. (y)

One of America's best "western" or "duster" performers to date...I watched "Scarecrow" for the first time about a month back...bizarre flick...never would have pegged him at 78...

I do wish we could edit topic titles... :D

If you folks have never seen him in Coppola's The Conversation, get thee to your Netflix queue pronto. Arguably the best
Coppola and Hackman have each ever done. (y)(y)(y)

The movie cheats a bit, but it's worth it. And you get to see Teri Garr, Cindy Williams, Han Solo, and Robert Duvall all in really
ugly 1971 clothes. :D
