the eating part is so boring. sometimes it's fun, don't get me wrong...but it's not that fun because you're like forced to make conversation most of the time, and unless you're pounding margaritas or with good good friends, it's awkward central.
anyway, I have to go out to my boyfriend's sister's birthday dinner tonight and I don't wanna. I'm crabby. do you think I should get her a card? I hope it's more than just a double date. or do I? I don't know what's worse. :(
social anxiety sucks.

I never want to go, but I almost always have fun once I'm there. I think I don't like the uncertainty of not knowing who else will be there.
I always end up drawing on my napkin. It helps distract from the pressure of the situation.
i like to steal silverware

one time I told my friend that I didn't like dinner parties and then we went to a dinner party and I was carrying around my plate of food looking for a place to sit and I was getting really annoyed. he looked at me and said, "what's the matter? you look awkward, do you not like dinner parties?" in front of everyone. it was pretty funny. broke my bad mood.
I think as long as you have enough seating and an efficient way to serve the food and plans for cleaning up, it should be fine.
I have done almost absolutely nothing at work today. I'm firing myself. :(
ok, i'll make sure there's plenty of garbage bags, but that doesn't fix the paranoia that all of the guests are uncomfortable and would rather be at home... bah.

no no, see, I'm a weirdo, I'm pretty sure that most people enjoy dining out and going to dinner parties.
and perhaps your dinner party won't have a lady that I hate that one time showed up late and brought a huge thing of falafel, but hardly anybody ate it because they were already full of other food and then she was like, "well, I guess I'll just take this home since nobody wanted it". pfft. tacky bullshit. I totally punched her in the neck.
ahhh, 1 hour and 15 minutes til the dinner!
i just sent out an email to my guests with a rule stating NO FALAFEL
the thing is... my paranoia resides because, i too, would rather be at home than at a dinner party, which is why i chose to have one at my home...
buggers.
at least i have a reason to bust out the olive cheese bread.

well, the dinner was fine but chock full of awkward moments. not too bad though, it was two couples and one dude who was pretty talkative. they pretty much just made fun of the sister the whole time. I made some funny jokes about sausage that people laughed at.
