Bionics on the right one. I used to use cheap motors you can buy anywhere for buttons, and control the rate of spin with a controller from a model railway set. You can get all sorts of effects with different discs at different speeds. i'm sure there's loads of patterns on the net to copy for discs.(y)

Call up the Chili's they used one as a backdrop during Lollapalooza...specifically to hypnotize the audience into believing Fruiscante was playing with them...not some weird dude hovering on the side of the stage...(y)
