I just found all these clips on youtube and they remind me of when I was still a little Noukie. I'm getting all melancholic...
Nelly The Elephant (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhEXYdeFtVU)
Morph (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajQx45iR0H4)
King Rollo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMnfPdquaMo)
Mr. Benn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM0PEgA04AU)
Charlie Chalk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeJILEDzDVg)
Superted (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZg74STOfig)
Shoe People (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqPsDHpLj1c)
The Trap Door (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-dapSswWTQ)
Parsley The Lion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJwaI3WFB8U)
*sniff* I miss the good ole days.
Also, I just realised I'm probably the only dutch kid who watched all this stuff.
What makes you nostalgic?

Janosch...
Do you mean the story about a bear and a tiger (with a little wooden duckie) who go to find Panama?
If so, that was awesome!
edit:
I mean this one (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/515WUikJjDL._AA240_.jpg).

YES! But on the VHS we had, they did not go to Panama. Or maybe they did? I just remember "Mail for thee tiiigerrr!!!" But there were other little episodes, too. There was this guy with a hat, and a squirrel who was always sleeping- and another with an animal couple riding the city bus, but they were fat or something so they took a taxi, and the driver was pissed- and another that took place in a garden (may have been a snail).

Yeah, we also had a show where the big bear told all kinds of stories, but it was all a spin-off from the book about Panama.
I've watched a clip from the american version btw, and it's nowhere near as good as the dutch one. The dutch one is read by a well known dutch actor/funnyman and it's full of sarcasm and dry comments, while the american one just seems...well, childish.
Most dutch kids shows are a bit weird, and have more 'layers' which children don't understand but adults do. Some of my favourites are Rembo & Rembo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9N325QHlF4)and Purno de Purno (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl5HMwTLIBs), which have lots of sex jokes. (One of the characters is called 'de kietelaar' which means tickler, but also clitoris.)
