Hello Beastie Boys fans!

I have one dozen Beastie Boys posters from the Hello Nasty era that I no longer want. I sold them on ebay, but never received payment (for shame!). I have considered throwing them in the garbage, but that's wasteful. I also considered mailing them to my friend 9thbeastie, but he probably already has them all. That said, I decided that I could give them to someone who would truly appreciate them via this very message board.

Here's what I have:

Two of these:

http://www.beastiemania.com/merch/showone.php?item=1998groupposter

http://www.beastiemania.com/merch/showone.php?item=1998hnsunposter

I couldn't figure out the merch ids (funny because I was the one who made them up), so here are images:

What's the catch?

Reply in this thread with a compelling reason why I should give you the posters
I will not split the posters up. It's all or nothing
You will pay for shipping. The tube weighs 2lbs 8.5 ounces (or 40.5 ounces for the mathematically inclined).
My decision will be arbitrary, so don't moan about it being unjust. I'm not fair.
I will probably wait a few days to decide.

That's it! I also have two Bhagavan Das Now unopened Japanese promo cds (http://www.amazon.com/Now-Bhagavan-Das/dp/B00005N8XB). Mike D produced the album, it never officially came out on Grand Royal in the USA. It's good music to fall asleep to, I guess. These are also up for grabs, you'll just need to pay shipping.

Finally, some of you may remember me from several years ago. I was formerly a proud member of Beastiemania.com. That should give some legitimacy to this giveaway.

Thanks to Minton for putting up with this nonsense. Less thanks to tpk because I'll still beat you in basketball (someday).

I'd put them up everywhere. I already have stickers up in the break room at both my jobs I work at and a poster in the office at one. I have 3 stickers on my car already, and given a ton of stickers to my friends who have them on their cars, skateboards etc. but that makes people think I'm weird or something, so why not just go balls out with it?

I would like them and would gladly pay the shipping.

My compelling reason is that I run Beastiemixes.com (http://www.beastiemixes.com) thereby giving back a TON of my time to the Beastie community in the process, and I was recently interviewed (http://beastiemania.com/interview/interviewpbeastiemixescom.php) by Beastiemania. ;)

So Unless they're coming from some strange land where the shipping to Southern California will be $900. I want them.

Thanks
Silence7

I'd LOVE to have them.

I've been buying up various Beastie posters from ebay for the last year and I'm begining to build a collection. My spare room is becoming something of a Beastie art gallery. I'm a long time Beastie Vinyl collector, but lately the limited edition concert prints have started becoming my latest Beastie merchandise of choice.

My favorite piece is the 8-1-07 Philly - Festival Pier, Slater print (http://cgi.ebay.com/Beastie-Boys-Philly-Concert-Poster-TODD-SLATER_W0QQitemZ320178582501QQihZ011QQcategoryZ108 857QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l124 7QQcmdZViewItem). I actually have two of them. I framed one, along with my ticket stub and the setlist I got at that show that night.

I've been a fan of the Beasties since 1987 when I first heard Paul Revere on the radio and I've been a fan ever since. I've seen them at least once on every tour they've ever had, usually multiple times. I've always shared my vast collection of live shows on the HUB too.

I'd definetly appreciate the posters and would display them along with the rest of my growing collection of prints.

Pity you can't link to Beastiemania, so have to just guess what most of those posters are.

I don't need anymore Beastie-posters, I have already enough to cover my walls. Thank you.

Well, my recording studio is in dire need of a new theme. A framed bboys poster in the iso booths, live room, and control room would undoubtedly generate some divine inspiration. Perhaps in the name of creation those posters can find their way to my doorstep. Her majesty of song always benefits from the presence of the three wise-men over-looking any and every tracking, mixing, and overdubbing session......

I'd be happy to pay for shipping for a Bhagavan Das cd. I think it'd make for an interesting listen.

I would like to have them, but I think Silence 7 is much more deserving. He really does work his butt off for the guys in the remix section. He has also offered to help me out with some stuff when he barely even knew who I was. If it comes down to a vote Silence 7 gets my vote.(y)(y)(y)

I would love a shot at those posters. I've seen them a whole bunch of times, but don't have any of those posters. I have a home studio that they could hang in. There is a running theme
of posters on the wall of all NY based bands(we are from NY), besides D.R.I.
I will gladly pay all shipping and
if I get any signed, I will send one back to you. Thanks for your consideration on such a nice gesture regardless.

Thanks,
Hairdu

Did you tag the manatee so that we can preserve it's natural habitat? NO... that seems kind of careless of you. I don't think you deserve the posters. What kind of person would pass up a chance to save a manatee? Nice save on the baby seal though;)

i wanna back beastieboysbaby on this one! every teen age girl should have posters all over her wall, and if she loves our boys so much this early on in her life, then i think that is just pretty damn swell.

I did not tag this manatee, nor would I have if given the opportunity. The manatee, also known as the sea cow, stays in one place for most of it's life. When it does move, groupers (fish) out of fear follow it's every move. The manatee wasn't even hungry, it just tried to swallow the baby seal whole because it could.

One Bhagavan Das is spoken for and I'm waiting to hear back from one of you regarding the posters via PM. If I get impatient, I'll send another one of you a PM regarding the posters.

This is a funny thread.

Well, if we're voting here, (and you do get impatient w/ selection #1) I'd like to mark Klepto on my ballot. (no offense BeastieBabay) she's also a young'n and has been on this board since she was like, 2!! Plus, she's the bestest resource ever -- like our own BBMB librarian. Go on. Ask her something. If it's bb related, the kid has answer and probably a video of some sort to back it up.

I have researched this subject extensively, and I am ashamed for my ignorant and reprehensible attack on ampm. I won't go into detail, but those manatees are some ruthless sons of bitches. Please forgive my ignorance.
