i was up watching this till like half three in the morning.i enjoyed it though. no idea how manning stayed on his feet in that third down.

it irritated me how they kept calling them "world champions" though.

even more so, at least soccer (football) is a world game. American football and australian football aren't played majorly in any other country but their own.

Good One.

But since you brought up the Eagles, consider the real reason you even had a chance of winning that game was because of the Defensive scheme your Def. Cordinator, Steve Spagnuolo orchestrated. He learned how to coach a defense where?

That's right, from the EAGLES! He's a deciple of our system, Jim Johnson's system.

All those different Blitz packages the Giants were throwing at Brady were designed by US! The Eagles did the same thing to the Patroits in the regular season matchup when AJ fuckin Feeley was within 2 minutes of knocking off the Pats before he threw an interception in the endzone. If McNabb plays that game, we win easily.

But keep convincing yourself that Eli is now a good QB, or that Coughlin is now a good coach. The reason you won that game was because of an Eagle, Spagnuolo, and he's leaving for Washington in the next week.

Yea your right cause philly's blitzes won them all thier super bowls:rolleyes:....

I guess Jim johnson and company just never had the players to win the big one... giants did... i love it, the eagles were a pretend dynasty just cause the nfc east was really rebuilding while the eagles peaked. Now the supposive gold standard of the decade has nothing to show for, while the giants have the super bowl ring.

Eli led a game winning drive, where Mcnabb puked. Giants beat the pats, where the Eagles couldn't. And this pats team was much better then it was when they played the eagles. There is really no excuse or creeping around it. Giants really are the best team in the league, they beat the best teams in thier confrence, then the best team in the afc. No fluke.

I love it, and in case you can't tell from my resentment, i was stuck in the middle of Philly the season the Eagles went to the super bowl.

The Giants got to play them after they got caught cheating, videotaping teams walk-throughs the day before the game, the Eagles didn't. Kind of puts things on a more even playing field when the other team doesn't know your plays, doesn't it.

Look, the Midgets have a much better front 7 than the Eagles had that year, which helped them excute the blitz packages better than the Eagles and the Giants ran the ball much more than Reid ever would have. The first drive of the game was over 8 mins. long and you got a feild goal out of it. You took the air out of the ball and it kind of knocked Brady off his rythm from the begining of the game.

I give the Giants front 7 all the respect in the world. They won the SuperBowl for your team.

Giants really are the best team in the league, they beat the best teams in thier confrence, then the best team in the afc. No fluke.

If you think in your mind that the Giants are the best team in the NFL, then you either don't know much about football, or you're confused in life.
Remember, Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer are walking around with Super Bowl Rings, doesn'tmean they're a good QB.

Actually you play to win the super bowl (i guess in philly they don't know about that), they don't call you champion for no reason. Things came together and they won when it mattered. Like i said they beat dallas, green bay and new england all in the past three games. If they aren't the better team, why'd they win? Yes This year they really are the best team in football.

And all the spygate talk motivates new england, do you remember what they did to san diego in week 2 just after spygate first broke?

Dilfer and Johnson weren't MVP's.... Eli is.....

Oh and don't forget Brett Farve and Peyton Manning are walking around with only one ring. Doesn't mean they're shitty QB's.

Rob, I know your Philly bias is in full swing right now, but simple Sports logic should put things in perspective.

The goal of every professional sports team is to be the Champion of their league.

31 teams failed at that goal this season.

1 team acheived that goal, and it was the New York Giants.

Other teams, and their fans can claim to be the best team this season, but only one have the rings to prove it.

It's not like 15-20 years from now, you'll look at the History of Superbowl winners, and for 2008 it will say "New York Giants (But there was, like, 2-3 AFC teams that were probably better than them)".

Every team who's ever won a championship in any sport knows,
1. You've gotta be very good at what you do.
2. You always need a little luck.

The Giants are the champs, god bless them, but Eli escaping from a crowd of three Patroits to throw a pass that was too high to Tyree and have him catch it off his helmet with one hand and keep possesseion was pure luck.
Amani Toomer catching that wounded duck of a pass on the sideline where he pushed the defender in the face before he made the catch, and not being called for off. pass interference was pure luck.

The Giants had the luck on their side and they won the game, but don't give me this crap about them being the greatest team. Don't give me this crap about how they're set for years to come now and will be the next dynasty. The bottom line is Eli's played his best game he's ever gonna play, he's not that good. Coughlin coached in his greatest game, he's not that good either. All the real talent is on the defensive side of the ball. Spagnuolo will be coaching the Skins next year and Strahan will be retired.

i love it

say thier lucky ... say thats it, eli is done. you said the giants had no shot coming into the super bowl. And don't worry eli might have played his finest game,,, but he has arrived and i love it.

Basically your saying what every philly fan is thinking in thier head. They are trying to justify what happened, "thier not that good, eli still sucks, our man spags did it." I'm mean shit, you don't suggest the championship means nothing to justify you thinking your rivals still suck. but i guess thats what you do when you root for the eagles.

Every team who wins the Super Bowl thinks they'll repeat.
Hell, even the team that loses thinks next year they'll be back and will win it.

How naive can you be.

BTW, how do you know what I said about the midgets going into the Bowl?

PS..."THEY'RE"

and that was a quote of whats in phillys fans head,,, i don’t give them the credit of knowing correct grammar.

Every team who's ever won a championship in any sport knows,
1. You've gotta be very good at what you do.
2. You always need a little luck.

And the Giants had an equal amount of both of those the past 5 weeks.

And talking of a repeat, when this season isn't even 72 hours old, is a little premature. Of all the sports, I think football is the toughest to compete in on a consistent basis. That's why all franchises go in cycles. There's so much roster turnover from a year to year basis for any team to be dominant for more than a few seasons.

And I personally think other than the 4th quarter, Eli didn't really have that great of a game. Stast-wise, he's had much better games.

Call it a fluke championship, call them the worst team to win a championship, whatever, nothing you can say will take away what happened on Sunday. Not in your mind, and certainly not in any of us Giants fans minds.

But serioulsy, nothing you can say will take the glow off of any Giants fans face anytime soon. It would be a lot easier for eveyone involved if you just came out and said "As an Eagles fan, and a Giants hater, it's killing me that they won." instead of trying to name things to try an tarnish what they done.

That's exatcly what I would've said if the Eagles won it a few years ago.

IF...
