so i'm actually a bestie remixer now!
last night something clicked in my head... i don't know what it was,
but while i was practicing my DJ set for my next gig i suddenly stopped.

i went over to my tiny pile of records and pulled the 12 inches
for Alive and Body Movin. i worked hard and actually made
my first mix ever! i'm so happy that it was a beastiemix! i used the instrumental
from body movin' and the a capella from Alive.

anyway. i was wondering how i could record it.
i was going to video it with my camera the next time i'm
in "the lab". other than my digi cam, what do you guys suggest?

when that actually worked and i made that mix,
it was the best feeling i've ever had. i worked hard for months,
and this is the pay off, as little as it is.

i'm really proud of myself. :)

With the mixes i have recorded on my decks,
i had an old style cd recorder plugged in but thats on the fritz now
so i only do mixes using ACID on the pc.

So if you can find a cd recorder then use that but i have
had a nightmare trying to find another one as its outdated now.

I imagine you can get equipment that records straight from
your decks onto mp3 but wouldnt know how much or
where to get - despite making many a mix i am still a tech-numbnuts!

Hopefully one of the other guys can point you in right
direction, sorry i couldnt be of more help.:)

easy peasy lemon squeezy.

http://www.pccables.com/05007.htm
just plug the rca cable coming out of your mixer into this, and plug the mini jack into the line in on your computer

or

http://www.cmtc.co.uk/acatalog/Mini-Jack-to-RCA-Cable-5m.html
plug the rca end of this into your mixer and the mini jack into your line in on your comp.

it doesnt really matter what brand you get for the cables, as i just googled these and i dont even know which ones i have lol.
