patak's is good, but Presidents Choice makes a far FAR better ready made butter chicken sauce.
only problem is that they never fucking have it in stock. ever. only way i ever find a jar is if its been pushed behind the variety of jars beside it.
anyways, its very good. though I usually add more of my own hotness. and some extra garlic and onion.
yumyum!

a couple of my roommates always buy those awful "salads" in a bag instead of buying real lettuce
i really don't understand it. they prefer this crap from a bag that is practically white to start and full of stem over a nice dark green head of leaf lettuce. i refuse to eat that garbage, but then i end up buying a head of real stuff for myself and it goes bad because i won't eat it fast enough. i guess i just need to have a salad with every meal

Actually Fresh Express is a good alternative when you live out of the reach of fresh greens and springs….most of the times if you get a bag on a Friday and give it a cold water bath/scrub, then spin them and refrigerate they’re good for up to 3 days…4 bucks a bag, that’s fair until local greenhouse organics start to drop in price in the next couple months….

yeah, freaggin weather. i have seen this guy in maine (i think) who has this "hot setup" where he winter gardens in his hoop houses using geothermal heat pumps which dont require all that much energy. his carrots are famous. elliot coleman i think is his name.
id love to have a little lean-to greenhouse/solarium on the side of my house someday. it would take in heat for the house in the winter, and also be given heat by the house for growing the veggies. you can use the water from your laundry, dishes etc... to grow the veggies too! (if you use the right soaps)
im a nerd when it comes to this stuff.

I gave it a 3rd try this weekend and it had huge chunks of tomato and pepper in it,like it hadn't been minced enough...not condusive to dipping...I had like a 3 inch piece of greyish green pepper in it....so I damned the torpedos and ate it anyway's...know what?...it actually tasted pretty good...
