Anyone collect anything???
I've collected HotWheels since I was a kid. I've got way too many to even try and count. I lost count at 3500 some time ago. Anyways, here's my 07 collection, almost complete.

Very cool, I've got some old Thrasher mags myself. Nothing like what I used to have after throwing most out becuase they were such a pain to transfer from apartment to apartment and I had no real place to keep them. Now I regret pitchin'em. I still have probably 10 - 15 from the mid 80s though. I love thumbing through and blasting back in time. OjII ads rock!!

With me, when I realize I'm buying stuff just to collect it, I sell it off. It made no sense to buy DVDs rather than rent; there are so, so few
movies that I would watch often enough that owning a copy was more practical than renting, and yet I had 300 movies.
Etc.

Last year I was at my parents house going through the attic and I found a box of thrasher magazines. It was fun to go through them. I wish some of the ads for stickers were still valid cause i saw a lot that I wanted when I was younger but my parents wouldn't let me get and now that I have my own money I can order them, but don't know where too.
Puszone was one of my favorite bits in those magazines.
Also I noticed that I have quite a few with the Beastie's during the License to Ill era pimping Thrasher gear or something like that in ads. Damn those are old shits.

i was very bad with spending when i was younger. i have an impressive/embarrassing collection of DVDs and video games; a big full thick DVD carrier of each, plus some more that i bought after filling the carrier. i'm better now, but i hate to think how much more money i'd have if i were a little more responsible with it. i was a teenager, and all my income was disposable, what did i expect?
i rarely watch any of those movies

One of my brothers saved ticket stubs from concerts he went to.
I wonder if he still has them.

i do that. i used to put the stub in the back of the cd case for which album the tour was for. but now with these weird cardboard cases and mp3s and what not i don't.

i collect all my ticket stubs from concerts and sporting events. i also tend to look for business cards and the like when i go to restaurants, especially in other cities.
this is what i have from august til today. ive been paying out too much for the hockey tickets my friend has, but ive also been benefitting from my dad's basketball tickets he gives me, so it evens itself out.

Here's a car for your collection,
http://cache.gizmodo.com/assets/resources/2008/02/hot_wheels_jeweled_car.jpg
Hot Wheels® today announced its year-long plans to celebrate the brand's 40-year heritage at the 105th American International Toy Fair®. Anniversary activities were kicked off with the unveiling of a custom jeweled 1:64-scale Hot Wheels® car, designed by celebrity jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills. This one-of-a-kind car, the most expensive in Hot Wheels® history, was made to commemorate the production of the 4 billionth Hot Wheels® vehicle.
The diamonds on the custom-made jeweled car, valued at $140,000, total more than 2,700 and weigh nearly 23 carats in total weight. The car is cast in 18-karat white gold with the majority of the vehicle detailed with micro pave-set brilliant blue diamonds, mimicking the Hot Wheels® Spectraflame® blue paint. Under the functional hood, the engine showcases additional micro pave-set white and black diamonds. The Hot Wheels® flame logo found on the underbelly of the car is lined with white and black diamonds. Red rubies are set as the tail lights, while black diamonds and red enamel create the "red line" tires. The custom-made case that houses the jewel-encrusted vehicle also holds 40 individual white diamonds, signifying each year in the legacy of Hot Wheels®.
