I didn't find any other post of this.
You might want to check out the MP3 of M.I.A. - Paper Planes (Remix for the children by Adrock) (http://stereogum.com/archives/mp3/new-mia-paper-planes-remix-for-the-children-by-adr_008083.html)

Doesn't beat the original, but still related

I like the original more. Would have been a cool remix of any other song on there, but Paper Planes was the only one besides Jimmy that had an awesome instrumental behind it.... Paper Planes is the only thing that made me even look twice at Kala.

One of his better remixes ifya ask me. I've listened to the original way too much and am so happy to have a remix.... by HIM.

Horovitz + M.I.A. = SWEET BLISS

I love his voice in the intro, "ok kids let's gather round... you ready? k here we go." *faints* I am happy the real gun shot sounds were retained for this version. Nice lil dub vibe goin down. Me likey.

this isnt one of his better remixes, this one really seems like a step down. its pretty easy to make sounding. the only thing i like is it gives it a different feeling, i dont like that feeling, but its a change.

It's a shame 20 Dollar wasn't a single, cause Paper Planes is pretty untouchable. 20 Dollar is begging for a live-band sound, imo.

Not to be a hater, but I've never really felt any of Adrock's Small Star or recent remixes, this one included. Something about them, to me, feels rushed and thrown together. Does anyone else feel this way?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of his remixes either. To me it just seems like he wants to make a song as different sounding as possible, which I guess is a skill he excels at, but the end result is just never pleasing to my ear. As far as it sounding kinda "thrown together" I can kind of agree, but then again this is just a remix, not something on the next B-boys album, so he probably doesn't loose sleep over it.

This one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywCqf3ZLPic) always makes me go WTF. I'd really like to know how this happened. Was it Rammstein that approached Adrock and said, "please remix us!" Or the other way around? Adrock hooking them up: "Hey, I really dig your shit. A made a remix for ya!"
