whats alot of fun stuff to do down there? I know there's Disney World and the ocean.....but is there anywhere thats really worth checking out?

Beastie Boys playing Florida is about as exciting as it could get. But hey, maybe that's just me.

Even the people in Boston don't want to live there. They all move here.

Florida is pretty big, so what to do depends on where you are going.
East coast? West coast? South florida? Panhandle?

The Key's are the only redeeming feature from what I've seen,amazing...(y)...Maybe gliding in the Glades...but Florida is a freak show...

I had a great time in West Palm Beach and Miami. Florida isn't that bad. I do love how they have minimum speed limit signs for the old folks.

I used to go to Florida pretty much every year as a kid. Stayed in the Clearwater area. I don't know what it would be like as an adult, but
I was usually pretty bored, even when we did go to Disney World.

I remember the book exchange near my grandparents' had semi-racy postcards that got me in a little trouble with my folks.

I'll be headin to FL the 1st of March. FT Myers Beach to be exact. Will be there for a week or two. Lots of sun and fun. I don't do much other than drink by the pool, then drink by the beach, then drink at lunch, then more drinking by the pool, and then drinking at dinner, and then I usually have a good night drink on the patio. lol j/k well, not really, but there is a lot to do in FL. I just like to spend my time at the beach/pool with a cold beverage in hand. One thing I love about FL is the food. I'm a huge seafood kinda guy, and living on the southside of Chicago doesn't make that real enjoyable at times.So, being down there and getting all fresh catch every day is really a treat for me.

This year we will be renting a boat and cruising the canals and such around Naples and Cape Coral. I might even do some fishing.

I used to go see the blues festival on the Hollywood boardwalk. Hollywood is one of the few towns with a bike/walkway next to the ocean.

I had a very enjoyable experience in Sanibel Island ....the beach is all shells, hardly any sand.

Yeah, they usually have some quality low-level musical entertainment there.

My Grandma-In-Law live closeby, so we go visit her every March. It's a great, low-key, cheap vacation.

And Mets Spring Training is only and hour and a half away.
